In 1898, the Lyonnais industrialist Emile Crozet-Fourneyron, a friend of Léon Gambetta and Waldeck - Rousseau, built this sumptuous property upon grounds of 2 hectares. Built according the owners personal ideas, and with the help of the architect Charles Bermond, the property was named "La Vigie" due to its particularity, and to this day, is unique along the Riviera, for its circular or to more precise slightly oval shape.
Built according the owners personal ideas, and with the help of the architect Charles Bermond, the property was named "La Vigie" due to its particularity, and to this day, is unique along the Riviera, for its circular or to more precise slightly oval shape. The most spectacular room of the property would be the large semi-circular reception room, with a pool table which is lit by five large bay windows which are five meters high. Views over to the Cap d'Antibes and the Italian coast. Even the grounds were divided up, and part of the villa today still remains within the constructors family, who has upheld the properties originality with the exception of the roof top terrace which was added in the 1970s.
